FACULTY FRIDAYS

Susan Wible, (Director of Finance, Algebra teacher and school board Treasurer), answers a few questions…

Where did you attend grade school and what did you think you wanted to do when you grew up? Where did you attend college and what did you do before joining faculty at HLS?

I went to Carmel High School and then on to Oral Roberts University where I got a B.S. in Accounting. For many years I thought I wanted to be a lawyer. Before coming to HLS, I homeschooled our four children for 20 years.

What attracted you to HLS and what have you learned about yourself after working for this school? What inspires you?

I began teaching nine years ago for HLS with two classes. I taught Algebra to four students and a sixth-grade math class, which included my daughter. I never dreamed it would lead to teaching 9 years later and that I would be handling the accounting for the school as well.

What do you want HLS parents to know about you? What are your hobbies, interests and passions?

My husband and I are involved with a marriage ministry at our church. I am a new grandma to Louisa Jane and I have just started clogging classes!

What would you say to someone considering sending their children to HLS?

HLS is an amazing community with passionate, knowledgeable teachers. It has a solid curriculum and the students are engaged and fun to interact with.
