The Highlands Archery Club had its inaugural season in 2022! Archery Club meets in April and May at the HLS property near 146th St. and Shelborne Rd., and is open to 5th-12th graders. Beginners are welcome. Archers learn the fundamentals of archery, including safety, shooting form, and scoring.
Archers practice together in a friendly environment, using games and competitions to keep it lively! 2021-22 In HLS Archery Club’s first season, thirteen students participated. A hotly contested in-house tournament was held with many parents in attendance. Archers improved their form and accuracy greatly over the season!
Archery Club follows guidelines and tournament policies of the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP),which awarded a grant to HLS which provided five targets and twelve compound bows, plus quivers and arrows.
